LifeBook is a habit app that draws your days as comic pages. This policy says, in plain words, what the app keeps on your phone, what leaves it, who receives it, how long it is kept, and how you delete it. It applies to the LifeBook app for iPhone, the web app at app.comiclifebook.com, and this site. LifeBook is operated by Adebayo Olowoyeye; you can reach us at support@comiclifebook.com.

What stays on your phone

Your book lives on your device: habits, tasks, plans, journal entries, mood and energy, your saga, your vision board and its pictures, the characters you make, your hero, your finished pages and the words you write on them. The app keeps all of this in its own storage on the phone. You can save it as an encrypted backup file that you hold; we have no copy of your backups.

You can use LifeBook without any comic at all. If you decline the AI services during setup, or switch them off later in Settings, nothing described in the next section is sent, and the game carries on.

What leaves your phone, and why

When you close a day and ask for its page, a summary of that day leaves your phone so that an AI can write the page and another can draw it. The app shows you this before it starts, and asks for your agreement. The summary contains:

Pictures: the drawing of your hero, and of the people you have made characters for, go with the summary so they look the same on every page; a checking model compares the finished page with them. If you make a hero or a character from a photo, that photo is sent to the drawing service once and deleted from our server straight afterwards. Pictures on your vision board never leave your phone.

Who receives it

Our server passes the summary to the AI services behind the models you choose in Settings. The defaults use Google (Gemini draws the pictures) and Anthropic (Claude writes and checks the stories and powers the companions and the coach). Other choices in Settings use fal.ai, OpenAI or OpenRouter; OpenRouter routes a call to a third-party host under its own terms, and we request hosts that do not retain or train on what is submitted. Settings lists the providers behind your selected models. These services process what they receive under their own terms and may retain it for a limited time.

Your account

To draw pages you need an account, which holds your email address and a password (or an Apple sign-in), kept with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. The account also records what you have bought, your page balance, and the technical record of each page request: when it was asked for, whether it succeeded, and what it cost us to draw. It does not hold your habits, journal or plans; those stay on your phone.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store; we never see your card or bank details. RevenueCat processes the purchase records for us and tells our server what you bought, under an identifier that is your account's id, so that the pages you paid for are credited to you. Receipts and refunds are Apple's.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app registers a device token with Apple's push service so we can tell you when a page is ready. The token is kept with your account and removed when you sign out or delete the account.

How long we keep things

WhatKept
The day's summary and the pictures sent with itUntil the page is drawn or given up on, then cleaned up by the server; a failed cleanup is retried.
Finished pagesOn the server until you save an encrypted backup that contains them, by default. In Settings you can instead keep server copies, or delete them after your phone has downloaded them.
Photos used to make a hero or a characterDeleted from our server straight after the drawing is made.
Account, balance and page recordsFor as long as the account exists; purchase records are kept afterwards as long as accounting requires, without the person.
Operational logsShort retention, for keeping the service running; they do not contain your days.

Deleting your account

Settings has a "Delete account" control. It removes your account and asks the server to remove every copy of your pages and data it holds; the cleanup can finish a little after the request. Your book on the phone is yours to keep or remove. We cannot recall what an AI service has already received, but we send it nothing further. If you cannot use the app, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your agreement to the AI services at any time in Settings. Email support@comiclifebook.com. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these are your rights under the GDPR, and you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

LifeBook is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has made an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If what is sent, or to whom, changes, the app asks for your agreement again before sending anything, and this page is updated with the date above.
