LifeBook

Terms of use

Last updated 20 October 2026

These terms are between you and Adebayo Olowoyeye ("we"), the operator of LifeBook, for the LifeBook app for iPhone, the web app at app.comiclifebook.com, and this site. By using LifeBook you agree to them. The privacy policy is part of them.

What LifeBook is

LifeBook is a habit app in the shape of a game, in which the days you close can be drawn as comic pages by AI services. The game runs on your device. Drawing a page uses our server and third-party AI services, and costs pages, which you buy.

Your account

You need an account to draw pages. Keep your password to yourself; what is done with your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been misused. You must be at least 13 to make an account, or the age at which you may agree to terms like these where you live, if that is higher.

Buying LifeBook, plans and pages

The one-time purchase gives you the whole game for good: your hero, your first week of seven pages, the cover of your first book, and five assists. Plans are monthly subscriptions that include a number of pages and assists each month: a plan's pages renew with the month and do not roll over. Packs are pages bought outright; they never expire. A page is spent when a drawn day is requested, and is given back if the drawing fails. The prices are shown in the app and on the App Store, in your currency.

All purchases are made through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled; you cancel, or change to a smaller plan, in your Apple account's subscription settings, and the change takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are requested from Apple. If Apple refunds a purchase, the pages it granted are taken back, and a balance can go below zero until a pack clears it; closing days, the game and your books continue regardless.

What you may do, and what you may not

LifeBook is for your own life. Do not use it to make or share content that is unlawful, that harms others, or that you have no right to use; this includes photos of people who have not agreed to be drawn. Do not try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to obtain pages you have not paid for. We may suspend an account that does these things.

Your content, and the pages

What you put into LifeBook is yours: your days, your words, your photos. The drawn pages are made from it by AI services; you may use them as you like, including sharing and printing them. AI output can be wrong, odd or unlike what you expected; a page can be redrawn, within the pages you hold, but we do not promise a particular result. We do not claim rights in your content or your pages beyond what is needed to draw them and show them to you.

The service

Drawing depends on third-party AI services and can be slow or fail; a failed page is retried and, if it cannot be drawn, its page is given back. We may change which services draw and write, and the app will ask for your agreement again when that changes what leaves your phone. We may change prices and plans with notice in the app; changes to a subscription's price take effect through Apple's own process. We may stop offering LifeBook; if we do, we will give notice and the game on your phone, and your backups, remain yours.

Your book is on your phone

Because your book lives on your device, keeping it safe is a shared job: the app lets you save an encrypted backup file at any time, and we recommend doing so. We hold no copy of your backups and cannot restore a book from them for you.

No warranty, and limits on liability

LifeBook is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you did not back up. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms. Either way, purchases already made are governed by Apple's refund rules, and the terms that by their nature continue, such as the limits on liability, continue.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
